Kim {Wedding}

I had the pleasure of doing Kim's makeup last October for her wedding at the Hilton Sandestin. It was just one of those perfect days! My friend, the ever-talented (and recently engaged!) Ashley Livingston took these photos and gave them to me months ago. Sorry I'm just now posting them, but it was so fun and I loved hanging out with Kim and her bridesmaids for the afternoon. They were so sweet and looked so pretty!

Pretty Sweet Pale Lips

There's something so sweet and innocent about soft pale lips. I just love them in the summertime!

Pretty.Sweet Copycat: Jessica Biel

Don't we all wish we looked a little like Jessica Biel? If we can't have her famous curves, I guess we can settle for trying out her fresh-faced beauty look as the next best thing. Right? It seems like Jessica usually goes for the understated, natural beauty look, but I love this brighter, more colorful look she wore to the Summit on the Summit:Kilimanjaro premiere. Fabulous for spring and summer!

Here's what I used to get the look:
  • Loreal Infallible foundation #607 mixed with #610
  • NARS blush in Outlaw
  • Cargo water resistant bronzer in Golden Bronze
  • Eyelash curler
  • Too Faced eyebrow pencil in Brow-nie
  • Stila eyeshadow in Sparkle (above the crease)
  • Urban Decay eyeshadow in Last Call (above the upper lashes and below the bottom lashes)
  • Sugar Cosmetics Sweet Cheeks Baked Blush Duo in Gingerbread (used as eyeshadow)
  • Stila Smudge Pot eyeliner in Black
  • Maybelline Volum Express Turbo waterproof mascara in Very Black
  • VS Makeup Perfect Lipstick in Stiletto (blotted and topped with chapstick)

Caroline in Gulf Coast Bride!

Remember Cary's wedding back in November? Check out the latest issue of Gulf Coast Bride to see her pretty face gracing a page for Santa Rosa Golf & Beach Club. She looks gorgeous!!

Daytime Casual

Light makeup is clean, casual and perfect for everyday looks. It's for the girl who doesn't want to go bare-faced but doesn't want to look like she's headed to a nightclub at 10 AM. The trick is to play with softer eye makeup, stick with neutral colors, and keep the lips light.

Shannon {Wedding}

My best friend, college roommate and fellow Friends lover Shannon got married in October at the TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL. It was a spectacular wedding from start to finish and I'm not just saying that because I was the maid of honor. Or because I did the makeup. It was beautiful and romantic and all the things a wedding should be. I'm so excited for Shanny & Doug and I know they will be enjoying marital bliss for a long, long time. Doesn't she look beautiful? That Doug is one lucky guy!
Such a fun wedding party! (I'm the second green girl from left.)They even had karaoke at the reception! Congratulations Shannon & Doug! I'm so happy for you!

Pretty.Sweet Copycat: Fergie

I had a class in college where the professor tried to remember us by pairing each student with a celebrity we resembled, even just a little bit. I didn't think I had a celebrity look-a-like, but from that class I got the most comparisons to Fergie. It was either her, Shania Twain or Kelly Kapowski from Saved by the Bell. Let's go with Fergie for now.
I thought she looked G-L-A-M-O-R-O-U-S at the Golden Globes with understated but pretty makeup. Here's my copycat version:
And here's what I used to get the look:
  • Loreal Infallible foundation #607 (I've found this lasts the longest)
  • NARS blush in Orgasm (if you don't have this in your makeup bag, you should!)
  • Too Faced Pink Leopard Bronzer
  • Eyelash curler
  • Too Faced Eyebrow Pencil in Brow-nie
  • Stila Eyeshadow in Kitten (above the lashes and under the brow)
  • Urban Decay Eyeshadow in Smog (in the crease)
  • Urban Decay 24/7 Eyeliner in Zero
  • Maybelline Volum Express Turbo Waterproof Mascara in Very Black
  • LORAC Couture Shine Lipgloss in Trendsetter

Eyeliner to Match Your Eyes

Try a fresh look in liner on your next makeup paint job and match your eyeliner to your eye color. It really gives your eyes an extra pop! Adding the same shade around your lids gives the illusion of bigger and brighter eyes. It works for girls with every eye color, too!

Christine, Linda & Kerri {Bridesmaids}

Cary's bridesmaids Christine, Linda and Michael's sister Kerri wore their hair in loose, wavy updos with braids and flowers and went with a makeup look similar to Cary's --- soft, romantic and pretty.
Here I am with Christine partway through her makeup:

Pretty sisters!
The fabulous photographer responsible for these lovely images is Ashley Livingston of Livingston Photography. Check her out! Thanks Ash!

Caroline {Wedding}

Cary and Michael's ceremony and reception was held at Santa Rosa Beach Club in November. It's fun to get to meet new faces through makeup jobs, but Cary is someone I've known for awhile. I can't believe it's been so long, but I've been friends with Cary and her sister Christine for a few years now. (Christine is the wedding coordinator at the Club and the go-to girl if you're looking for a fabulous location for the big day. I highly recommend it!)

Cary and Michael met playing softball and baseball in college, so she is very sporty and doesn't usually need to do a lot to look good. For the wedding day, however, she wanted a pretty, romantic look but still easy and laid-back. Aside from the first snapshots, the photos are by the super fab Ashley Livingston of Livingston Photography Co. who did an amazing job. I LOVE how everything turned out:

Doesn't she look absolutely gorgeous! Congratulations Cary!!!

Erin {Wedding}

Erin & Stewart were married at Santa Rosa Beach Club back in August and I am just now putting pictures up! It was so much fun getting to know Erin on her big day and doing her makeup - she was a perfect Southern belle. She was rockin some great tunes while everyone was getting pretty, which made the hair and makeup process that much more fun. All of the guests even got mix CDs with Erin & Stewart's favorite songs, complete with a note about why the song was important to them. Such a great idea to add a personal touch! A little Bon Jovi, Guns and Roses, Aerosmith, Eric Clapton, Smashing Pumpkins (which Erin LOVES) and more. A fun mix to a fun day! I'm glad I got to be part of it and help Erin look every bit the classy girl she is.

GwyneMark Photography did a fabulous job, as always, capturing the day.
