Baylee {Wedding}

Meeting Baylee and helping her get ready for her big day was so much fun! She is pretty laid back, friendly and better yet, a fellow Florida State fan! Her garter was even garnet and gold! Baylee's usual makeup look is very natural and minimal. She wanted to pump up her usual look for the wedding without looking like a different person, while making sure she didn't look washed out in pictures. Sometimes getting the low-key look just right can be more challenging than a strong makeup look!
Despite a little rain, Baylee was all smiles and here she is bare-faced Baylee before (already cute!):

I used a shimmery pearl eyeshadow with a pale pinky bronze color on the eyes, and a similar shade on both the cheeks and lips. We balanced the eyes with brown liner and black mascara. And here is made-up Baylee after:Beautiful and still looking like herself. She loved it!

Her sister Britney also had her makeup done with a less is more look in mind. She said she rarely wears a lot of makeup and never really knew what to do. A lot of blonde-haired, fair-skinned girls are afraid of putting on too much, but in the right places, it works. I layered a generous amount of foundation to cover a blemish on the forehead (Can you see it?) and added a light blush to give a bit of a peaches and cream look. Britney's eyes really popped after adding brown liner all the way around and a pretty taupe eyeshadow. A little pale pink gloss finished it off!

They were both naturally beautiful! I even managed to steal a few pictures from Baylee of the bride and groom during the ceremony. What a cute couple!

Congratulations Baylee!

Julie {Wedding}

I didn't get to meet Julie until the Thursday before her wedding when we did the trial, but she was so fun and so cute! She said she doesn't typically wear a lot of makeup and wanted to keep her look very natural while trying to play up her eyes. I gave Julie a nice glow with liquid foundation, soft pink blush (who doesn't love NARS Orgasm?) and all over bronzer. I kept her eye shadow soft while using a strong black liner on her top lid. With that, mascara and pale gloss goes a long way. She looks so pretty! What better look for a beach wedding than soft and sweet makeup?

Here are a few shots fabulous photographer Jenny Gomillion captured as the beautifying took place:

Julie's mom also had her makeup done and she was so funny! I think getting hair and makeup done is the perfect opportunity to kick back and relax in the midst of what can be a very emotional and stressful day. It's best just to take it all in and kick your heels up.

I went for a more dramatic eye here, especially since she would be wearing glasses. I didn't want her pretty eyes to be hidden away!

And the finished product! Look how nice and rosy her cheeks are. So pretty and refreshed! She definitely had that mother-of-the-bride glow.

Congratulations again, Julie! I had so much fun hanging out with you girls!

P.S. Thanks for the pictures, Jenny!

Julie's Bridesmaids {Wedding}

For two of Julie's bridesmaids, we went for a look similar to hers: bronzed skin, light lips and stand-out eyes. The eyeshadow colors were kept to earth tones like copper and olive which contrasted nicely with the girls' blue dresses. I used one of my favorite pencils, the Too Faced brow pencil, on both girls to fill in and even out eyebrows. It's a subtle change that can make a big difference, especially when the focus is on eyes.

Notice how her skin glows and her eyes are dark and soft at the same time:

These blue eyes pop and only need a little contrast to help them stand out:

Even though we're at the beach and tan lines are inevitable, no one really wants to see them in wedding photos. Here are the girls getting bronzed on top with one of my new favorite waterproof bronzers. Photos by Jenny Gomillion. (By the way, Julie managed to become quite the expert bow-tier after knotting everyone's sash.)

Pretty Sweet!
